About the Chef
My insightful experience begins with a look at the artistic world of food, entraining, event execution and culinary excellence. It’s that all important first and last impression of any meal, party or special event. It’s my pleasure to invite you to join me in an experience of rich aromatic flavors, tasty recipes and proven tips and techniques that will make your next meal or event a complete success. I have over twenty five years of training and experience in fine dinning, catering, short order cooking, baking, food safety and management. I’ve managed day to day kitchen operations and staff in several hotels, restaurant, retirement centers and currently the executive chef for a University. In addition, I’ve work with many food and beverage management teams and associates to continually improve guest and associate satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget. So, whether you’re planning a casual gathering of family and friends or orchestrating a formal affair I am delighted to share in the enjoyment of these exciting events and mouth-watering delectables.
In relation to my culinary interest, I have developed a strong interest in a breathing-food connection. I am a severe asthmatic. I have suffered for most of my life from extremely severe attacks that have put me in the ICU at lest 5 or 6 times a year and have disrupted my life on way too many occasions to count. I do believe that food is medicine and there are natural ways to help ease attacks. There is some evidence to support that antioxidants and vitamin c, vitamin e and vitamin d can reduce inflammation in the lungs. These vitamins and antioxidants help to target free radicals and help release the chemicals that help to relax the muscles that make up the airways in the lungs. So it’s important to eat your fruits and vegetables, drink juices and take your supplements to breath a little easier…
